The definition of anticipating is to expect or look forward to. I believe everyone is expecting or looking for something to happen or some type of change in their life. For some people it could be a financial blessing, a spouse, a car or a job. For others it could be healing in their body, reuniting with family, or the salvation of a loved one. There are thousands of scenarios where people are at a standstill; waiting and anticipating. Waiting can be heartwrenching, but at the same time it can produce the character of God, which is “The Fruit of the Spirit.” Patience produces longsuffering, longsuffering produces self-restraint, faith produces trust, meekness produces grace, temperance produces self control, joy produces happiness, and goodness produces honesty, gentleness produces compassion, and love expresses the very nature of God.
In this season of anticipation let the character and nature of God overtake you and perfect you.

Anticipating
Anticipating is a writing that encourages the reader to hold on to God’s promises while waiting on them to manifest. To anticipate is to expect or look forward to. God has given us all dreams, goals, visions and aspirations. We live in a microwave society and we want a quick, right now blessing.
I’m the first to admit, waiting in not easy. Oftentimes, we find ourselves getting weary, impatient, frustrated and some folk even turn away from God.
Anticipating was birthed in a season of transition and turmoil. I kept my focus on my Creator and His promises; not the problems in my life. No, my life isn’t the way I planned it or thought it would be. Yet, I never lost my faith or my hope. I’m still believing God and trusting God.
Whatever obstacles you may face, they too will pass. And whatever God has revealed to you will come to fruition in His perfect timing.
